Faith
Our Christian Values are:
Hope, Thankfulness, Endurance, Compassion, Service, Justice
'The joy of the Lord is your strength' Nehemiah 8:10
The joy of the Lord and our Christian values help us to flourish in school and in our community: as communicators, explorers, readers and believers.
Within God's family we nurture, teach and support each other opening doors for all.
As a Christian school, our Christian vision and values drive everything that we do in school and beyond.
We hold daily collective worship, which provides the oportunity for members of our school family to worship God; to consider spiritual and moral issues; and to explore their own beliefs. We welcome children of all faiths and no faith to be part of our school family and our worship, ensuring that worship is inclusive and invitational, having opportunities for reflection alongside payer. We have strong links with St. Nicholas our local church and the clergy lead worship regularly in school. We also visit the church regularly where we lead worship for our community.
Each half-term we focus on a different Christian value. The value is promoted through Christian Values sessions and worship. We share ideas for ways to explore this value at home. We also award certificates for children who have demonstrated this value. An example of the activities we send home to explore is attached below.
Each class has a group of worship leaders who lead worship and work to support the development of our school Christian ethos.
